Massive Powerball Jackpot Awaits Players This Christmas Eve
Sat, Dec 27, 2025
The Powerball jackpot has soared to an estimated $1.7 billion for the upcoming Christmas Eve drawing, marking one of the largest prizes in lottery history. Players are encouraged to check their tickets as many cash prizes were awarded in the last drawing.
This Christmas Eve, Powerball players have the chance to win a staggering $1.7 billion jackpot, with a cash option of approximately $781.3 million. The jackpot has grown after no ticket matched the drawn numbers, which were 3, 18, 36, 41, 54, and the red Powerball 7. This Wednesday's drawing will be the 47th in the current jackpot cycle, setting a record for the most drawings without a jackpot winner.
Historically, the Powerball jackpot has been won once on Christmas Eve in 2011 and four times on Christmas Day. In the last drawing, numerous players won significant cash prizes, including nine tickets that matched all five white balls for $1 million each. The Power Play multiplier was set at 2, enhancing the winnings for many.
Powerball tickets are available for $2 each in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The game has generated over $37 billion for various good causes since its inception in 1992. Drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET, and are also live-streamed on Powerball.com.
