Two winning Powerball tickets sold in South Carolina, one worth $100,000 in Newberry and another worth $50,000 in Gaston.

The South Carolina Education Lottery announced two winning Midlands tickets.

A Powerball ticket worth $100k was sold at Xpress Mart at 1315 Kendall Rd. in Newberry. A second winning ticket worth $50k was sold at Food Lion at 5204 Highway 321 in Gaston.

The drawing for the $1.7 billion Powerball will take place on Christmas Eve. The jackpot ranks as the fourth largest in Powerball history and among U.S. lottery games.

Two other winning tickets were sold in Charleston and Rock Hill.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. More on claiming prizes can be found here.

The odds of matching four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball are 1 in 913,129.
